"Jungle Jack" Hanna Brings His Furry Feathered And Reptilian Friends To The Napa Valley Opera House

Napa, CA - Animal expert “Jungle Jack” Hanna brings his favorite furry, feathered and reptilian friends to the Napa Valley Opera House on Sunday, December 2 for shows at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. One of the most visible and respected ambassadors between the human and animal worlds, his hands-on approach has won him widespread acclaim as Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo, conservationist, author, television personality and lifelong adventurer. Tickets are $30 and $25.

In 1978, Hanna was named director of the Columbus Zoo. The zoo was struggling and in need of rejuvenation when Jack arrived and transformed the establishment into a state-of-the-art facility. His keen understanding of public relations sparked a remarkable turnabout.

Hanna took his ineffable passion to the airwaves and created his own nationally syndicated television program, Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures. Recognized around the country as America’s favorite zookeeper, Jack has made countless television appearances since 1983 on shows such as Good Morning America, Larry King Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Fox News Programs and the Late Show with David Letterman.

Author of seven books-and counting, his timeless tales continue to captivate audiences from every generation. He is also an active supporter of the Leukemia Society, Partners in Conservation, the Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project and the SeaWorld Busch Gardens Conservation Fund. Whatever his role, Jack Hanna will always remain an adventurer at heart, never hesitating at the chance to travel, explore and support the animal world.

During each Opera House performance, one lucky family will win a Safari West gift certificate for an overnight, dinner and safari drive for two adults and two children.
