Missoula Children's Theatre Presents The Amazing Adventures Of Robinson Crusoe
The Production Will Feature Over 60 Young Napa Thespians
Napa, CA- Audiences of all ages will get a fresh look at an age-old favorite on Saturday, June 16 when Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) and over 60 Napa Valley students present “The Amazing Adventures Of Robinson Crusoe” at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children.
After a week long residency, students will take on the roles of Robinson Crusoe, Wilson (his sole companion) and Leonard the leopard. Numerous additional characters will be cast, including Friday’s family, the band leader Oscar the Octopus and the Oscar Octopus Octet band members. Cast members are also needed to play the roles of the family of goats, the very hairy, very scary, Frowny-Face Tribe and the colorful Chameleons. The role of Friday will be played by an MCT Tour Actor/Director. MCT will also cast Assistant Directors to help with the technical aspects of the production throughout the week.
AUDITIONS
Auditions will be held for the MCT original adaptation of “The Amazing Adventures Of Robinson Crusoe” on Monday, June 11 at the Napa Valley Opera House Café Theatre located at 1030 Main Street in downtown Napa. Napa Valley students who have completed kindergarten to those entering the 12th grade are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Auditioning students should arrive at 10 a.m. and plan to stay for two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. The MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week of June 11-16 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. Those who audition should be available for the week of rehearsals, and for both performances on June 16 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Participants selected must be prepared to pay a $75 workshop fee at the time of selection. More than 30 years in the making, The Napa Valley Opera House, a national historic landmark, restored the Margrit Biever Mondavi Theatre in June 2003, a second-floor theatre that was originally constructed in 1879.
