Broadway veteran and recent Napa resident Clark Sterling will make his Napa Valley Opera House debut during the 2012 Thanksgiving weekend in “Broadway Holiday.”  The unique show features the best of Broadway and the holiday season with Mr. Sterling, “Holiday Divas” Danielle Kane and Michelle Jordan, cabaret stars Wesla Whitfield and Mike Greensill, and well-known Napa vocalist Robert Dornaus.

“I’ve always wanted to combine the best music of Broadway with favorite songs of the holiday season, and there’s a lot more overlap between the two worlds than people may think,”  Sterling says.  He points out that the composers of MAME and THE MUSIC MAN have both written holiday classics, as well as a less-familiar Christmas song from the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Audiences on Nov 24 (8pm) and Nov 25 (3pm) can also expect show-stopping hits from WICKED, THE LION KING and THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA among others.

Clark Sterling appeared on Broadway in SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS, the national tour of LES MISERABLES, and has starred in musicals throughout the country.  A Napa resident for the past three years, he is excited to include some of his favorite Bay Area performers in the production.  “Danielle Kane and Michelle Jordan are amazing musical theater vocalists and I’m very happy to introduce them to Napa,” Sterling says.

Wesla Whitfield and Mike Greensill are no strangers to wine country audiences with their many performances at local venues, in addition to jazz clubs and concert halls in New York and San Francisco.  “They are the gold standard of jazz and cabaret,” according to Sterling, “and it’s a thrill to have them in this show!”

Napa native Robert Dornaus was a recent star of SWEENEY TODD for the Napa Valley Conservatory Theater, and the dynamic young performer already has a lengthy resume of musical theater roles throughout the Bay Area.
