VOENA kicks off this season, carving a new spirit of the holidays, encapsulating vivid portrayals depicting the Victorian scene of children, gems carved in relief against a background of layers of contrasting colors. The magic continues with sell-out family performances over the past 21 years, with their cameo role, singing songs such as Silver Bells, Silent Night, and Auld Lang Syne.
VOENA is a captivating, multi-cultural, world music experience that redefines “choir” the way Cirque du Soleil redefines “circus.” Director Annabelle Marie inspires more than 150 children from ages 6-18 to celebrate music through voice, sound, rhythm and physical expression. Singing in more than 25 languages, VOENA has performed around the globe inspiring audiences at the 2012 London Olympics, the Grand Ole Opry, as repeat guests at the White House, for Pope John Paul II at the Vatican in Rome and as goodwill ambassadors to Italy, Ireland, China and Japan. VOENA was the first American Choir to sing at the Soweto Festival in South Africa. VOENA has just returned from a trip to Bali spreading their mission to unite the world and empowering future leaders through music.
