Community Programming encourages local performers, artistic groups, organizations, schools and nonprofits to bring their creativity to life on our stage.  At least 75 days a year are reserved for local groups, organizations and nonprofits to share your events, performances and creativity with our community.  Reduced, affordable pricing is available to Community Programming Partners and thanks to generous funding from the Peter A. and Vernice H. Gasser Foundation Board of Directors, the Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership is able to help partially underwrite fundraising events for Napa nonprofits at the Napa Valley Opera House.

A thoughtfully-curated combination of world-class professional music, theater, film and dance will share the stage with local and student performances. Popular festivals from BottleRock to Festival Napa Valley and headliners from Blue Note Napa will provide major star-power, as will a speaker series featuring authors, artists and experts.

Our educational mission is to provide opportunities for engagement with the arts onstage, in the classroom, and in the community. Opera House performers will visit local schools, students will attend the Opera House for lively one-on-one interaction with artists, and original programming for all ages will support arts education as a lifelong pursuit.

A commitment to local and regional community outreach is a central component of our mission. We will ensure access to the Opera House for all, through discount and free tickets to Opera House performances, reduced-rate rentals for local nonprofits and educational groups, and programs aimed at Spanish-speakers, our Veterans, seniors and others.
